Abstract

School lunch program had first started after the Korean war 1950 for children who could not bring their lunch from home because of poverty. Average of 30% of total schoolchildren have been supplied school lunch with the assistance from UNICEF at the beginning and later from USOM. The aim and purpose of the study was to obtain evaluation results such as physical, nutritional and clinical (pediatrics) comparisons between school-feeding and school-un feeding groups and the survey showed as follows:
1) Height and weight in school-feeding groups were tend to be better than un feeding groups.
2) The skin fold thickness were not significantly different.
3) Clinical findings showed many malnutritional signs and symptoms among un feeding groups.
